What kind of movements do your clocks have in them?
Our Grandfather clocks have dependable 31 day key wind movements. You wind them once per month. They are totally
mechanical and are NOT battery operated. The movement is driven by the springs you wind instead of the weights. The chimes are created by two hammers hitting two chime pin rods. It is hard to beat these dependable movements.
The Curio cabinet Grandfather clocks have a quartz movement.
Our other timepieces will either have Quartz battery operated, or chain driven movements.
Do the pendulums swing on your grandfather clocks?
Of course they do...our grandfather clocks are real Pendulum clocks. If you stop the pendulum
from swinging the clock stops.
Do your Grandfather clocks have a night time shut off switch for the chime?
No, our Grandfather clocks do not have a shut off switch. The tone is however pleasant.
What if my clock arrives with some shipping damage?
Damaged shipments from handling must be claimed with the freight carrier. If any cartons are missing or damaged, be sure to note this on the freight bill. If you notice concealed damage after the driver has left, keep all the packing and call the freight carrier to return and inspect the damage and file a claim. We are not responsible for damage caused by the freight carrier.
Do your clocks have a warranty?
All products come with a manufactures warranty. Most have a 1 year limited warranty (see product descriptions for details). No warranties expressed or implied are offered by FamilyTimeClocks.com. Note: Please return manufactures warranty card if supplied. If a warranty issue arises please contact us. We will help you through the process of repair or replacement. Be assured we want you to be pleased with your purchase. Do not return products to us without first contacting us to receive instructions. If an item is to be returned due to manufactures defect, you must first receive a Return Authorization Number. No packages will be accepted without a Return Authorization Number written clearly on the package.
What do I do if I need to return my purchase?
Permission for any return merchandise must be secured from our return department. You have 30 days from the ship date to receive refunds. You must email the refund request to support@FamilyTimeClocks.com (with "RETURN" in the subject field), at which time the return authorization number (RA#) with return instructions will be sent to you. No packages will be accepted without a Return Authorization Number written clearly on the package. Products being returned must have a RA# issued before returned.
There is a 20% restocking fee for all non-defective returns.
If you have received a different product than initially purchased, the item must be returned with the following:
· All original contents (product, manuals, instructions, etc.).
· Original packaging.
· Original invoice or receipt.
Once a return is authorized by our return department you should:
1. Return the item to the address given to you by our return department.
2. Write the Return Authorization Number clearly on the box or package.
3. Keep your shipping records for proof of shipment in the event of loss of returned merchandise. Returns shipped via U.S. Postal Service (U.S.P.S.) or with a value of over $100.00 should be insured. We can not be held liable for return merchandise that does not reach our return department.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
The time needed to ship merchandise will vary depending on the shipment's location and the particular time of year. Customers should expect a 7-10 day delivery time.
How will my order be shipped?
Currently we only ship to the lower 48 states. Shipping and handling fees are flat fees per clock. We have flat fee shipping to simplify your shopping experience. Merchandise will be shipped using Ground Service where possible (usually UPS). In addition, some items may be shipped directly from the manufacturer to customers. We don't offer rush delivery at this time. Our warehouses are centrally located so your new clock will arrive promptly. Note: Longer delivery times will be experienced around holidays. If there will be any delays in shipping your clock we will notify you by e-mail within 48 hours. We are unable to P.O. or APO boxes.
